About

Site

When I first registered a domain, in 2003, it was honestfacade.com. In February 2008, when I renewed my account, I decided it was time for a change. I registered pinkoberry.net. I suppose I picked this name because:

  1. I'm really into the color pink.
  2. I have a strong affinity for cherries and strawberries.
  3. I'm a pinko-left-leaning liberal bastard.
When I started honestfacade, I used it to host my blog, images I needed elsewhere, and, of course, my fanlistings. Wouldn't you know it, that's pretty much exactly what I do with the new domain.

I am currently using a layout that rotates images featuring the number 444, which is my favorite number. There are seven images--one for every day of the week--and they will change daily. Not coincidentally, each of the images also features a method/object of conveyance. Even though I didn't set out to find images of travel/methods of travel, when I realized I'd done so I wasn't all that shocked. I'm as drawn to travel and impliments of travel as I am to the number 444.

Previously on pinkoberry.net, I have used quite a few layouts all done up in various shades of pink. First came a hot pink and cherry placeholder. Then came a softer pink and cherry design. Most recently, there was a light pink and lime green (lime being another of my favorite colors) design.

For honestfacade, I first used a heart image. After that I used a layout with chickens on it. Then I used a layout based on a promotional poster for the movie Thumbsucker. Then I went back to the chicken one (I love chickens). After that, I used an image that is near and dear to my heart--one that shows up in rotation in the layout I'm currently using--the 444 highway sign. Then I briefly used a different chicken layout featuring images from a photo by Cary Norton. The last layout I used for honestfacade was simple and featured a green and white image.

Owner

I'm an adult of the female persuasion. My name is Rebecca. I live in Greater Cincinnati. I love rivers, the number 444, the word chicken, and Harry Potter. And, really, if there's anything anyone wanted to know about me, it's all in here in the form of fanlistings, hatelistings, and general ramblings anyway. As Robert Fulghum said:

...Remember the Dick-and-Jane books and the first word you learned--the biggest word of all--LOOK. Everything you need to know is in there somewhere.

It was on fire when I lay down on it.
